The customer data platform for organisations that run on people

Every member, one view. Governed by TellParrot.

Roost is where a community organisation works with its people day to day: members, donors, families, volunteers. The record stays mastered in TellParrot, so what your staff see is the same record your auditor can trust.

Every change, who made it, and where the value came from

The problem

Your organisation already knows its people. In six places.

The membership system has one spelling, the mailing tool another, the ticket platform a third. The donations live somewhere else again. Nobody is wrong; nobody has the whole person.

How it works

TellParrot masters the record. Roost does the work.

TellParrot takes every source, matches the duplicates, scores the quality and keeps the lineage. Roost receives that golden record and gives staff and members something to do with it. A change never happens in place: it goes back to the master and returns as the next delivery.

  1. 01

    A member asks

Ada changes her postcode in the portal. Nothing on her record changes.

  2. 02

    Roost records a request

The correction is written down with who asked and when, and sent to TellParrot.

  3. 03

    A person reviews it

In TellParrot's queue, a steward accepts it. The master changes, with lineage.

  4. 04

    The value comes back

The next delivery carries it. Roost shows the new postcode, and where it came from.

The whole path, from source system to member portal

What is in it

The core, plus 15 modules. Each one a switch.

People, notes, segments, the inbox, consent, payments, feeds, the audit trail and the team are always on. Everything else is switched on per organisation. Describe what you do in your own words and Roost proposes the switches, saying which phrase decided each one; a person reads it and saves.

Members and families

A portal that reads like a letter, not a control panel.

Members see their own record and ask for corrections. Parents see a child's published record once the organisation approves them. Everyone chooses how they are contacted, and the choice is honoured at the moment of sending.

Their record

What we hold, and how to correct it

A correction is a request, reviewed by a person, applied by the master. The member sees it move.

Their choices

Email, text, post, phone

Each channel is a separate yes or no, kept as a consent receipt with the exact words agreed to.

Their giving

Receipts, monthly gifts, a card to change

Every gift has a receipt; a regular gift can be paused or stopped without ringing anyone.

Their family

A child's programme, published to a guardian

Sessions, attendance and consents on file, and nothing else. Access ends at eighteen.

Who it is for

Built for organisations whose product is people.

A youth programme with clubs and camps. A conservation society with members and sightings. A parents' association with events and a shop. A membership body with renewals and a magazine. Each is a workspace with its own currency, financial year and receipt wording.

Youth and programmes

Clubs, camps, the door

Registrations with consent, a kiosk at the door, who has gone quiet, grade rollover with undo.

Community and conservation

Members, sightings, appeals

Forms with a place and a photo, appeals with supporter pages, monthly giving.

Schools and associations

Events, tickets, a shop

Ticket types per event, an auction, a raffle drawn provably, goods sold and posted.

Membership bodies

Plans, renewals, the list

Joining online, a grace period, the mailing list, workplace giving and partners.

Security

No passwords. No edits in place. Nothing changes quietly.

Staff sign in with a one-time link or their Microsoft 365 account. Every action checks a capability from one permission matrix. Provider secrets are encrypted at rest. The audit trail records who did what, and the master record keeps where every value came from.
